Going Up” for the WonderGround Gallery

  • Going Up Gallery piece for WonderGround Gallery
  • I’m excited to be participating in the debut show at the new WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney® District. The first show is approximately 25 artists focusing on Pixar films and the one and only Mickey Mouse, I did a piece based on my favorite Pixar movie Up. “Going Up” is a paper sculpture in a 2 foot tall shadow box. I also did another piece that will be revealed June 9, I know you’ll instantly recognize this ‘character.’ If your out that way be sure to check it out this weekend, wish I  could. Below are a few in progress shots and my original marker sketch.  More info on the WonderGround Gallery and events here.

Breathephant for Children’s Mercy Hospital

  • Breathephant for Children’s Mercy Hospital S.T.A.R. Power Activity Book
  • Meet the Breathephant a papertoy that teaches kids about healthy breathing habits. The Breathephant was my contribution to the Kohl’s and Children’s Mercy Hospital S.T.A.R. Power Activity Book! The book is filled with fun art and activities to help kids grow up healthy and strong and will be given out to school kids all over Kansas City. Kids can cut out, fold and glue this fun papertoy. All it takes is a breath from you and this pneumatic paper pachyderm comes to life with sound and movement.
